Ad formats

If you choose to monetize with ads, you can enable some or all ad formats on your channel. Keep in mind you can maximize your revenue opportunities by enabling more ad formats, because this gives advertisers more options to reach your audience.

Turning on a few or all ad formats does not mean all of these ad types will appear on your video at once, this just means your video will be eligible for the types of ads you select to run on your video.

Display ads

Served on desktop and laptop computers

300x250px or 300x60px image or text ads

Overlay ads

Semi-transparent ads that appear on the lower 20% portion of your video.

468x60px or 728x90px image or text ads

Skippable video ads

Inserted before, during, or after your video--ads are up to 3 minutes in length, but are skippable after 5 seconds.

Served on desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, TV, and game consoles.

Full screen in video player

Non-skippable video ads

Non-skippable video ads inserted before, during, or after your video--up to 20 seconds in length.

Served on desktop and laptop computers and mobile devices.

Bumper ads

Non-skippable video ads inserted before your video—up to 6 seconds in length.

Served on desktop and laptop computers and mobile devices.
